About every third time I open Outlook 2003, I get a message that says "The
data file 'Personal Folders" was not closed properly. The file is being
checked for problems." I then get the idiotic thermometer and wait four or
five minutes for Outlook to open. I've tried closing Outlook and waiting
several minutes before shutting down my computer but it seems to make no
difference.
Microsoft has, of course, never heard of this problem based on repeated
searches of their support site. Has anyone else encountered this issue and
is there a solution or is this just another typical Windows aggravation? I
am running Vista Home Premium 64 bit but this also happened on my Vista 32
bit machine and on my old XP machine.
Thanks
