Outlook 2003 Pro and MSN Messenger conflict

I am trying to run MS Outlook from Office 2003 concurrently with MSN
messenger 7.5. When both are running the MSN messenger uses 100% of the
CPU. However when each is run indepently (the other being off)
everything is fine. I have fully updated Office 2003 and still have the
problems.

How do I fix this so both can run together?

My system specs:
WinXP Pro, 1.5GB ram, AMD 2.6 Barton, Asus A7N8X-Deluxe, ATI 9600 PRO.

One thing you might want to try is see if you can google and find some
software that will tell you what your Front Side Bus Speed of the Pc you are
using can handle. I see that you have seem to have plenty of Hard Disk Drive
and RAM but you FSB might be to low. I have run into this type of problem
when working with laptops. Usually, a laptop is crammed with some much
smaller components to A) save battery life that manufacturers usually skimp
on the FSB thus when users try to load numerous applications at once they
find out that the laptop con only handle a few.

The one solution that I did to overcome this is that I recently purchased a
high end laptop with 800MHz of FSB and 3 gig or RAM and a 120 gig Hard drive.
The laptop churns and burns and can compete with some other desktops.
