Outlook 2003 problem configuring with Blackberry Curve cell phone

I have a serious problem that Blackberry tech support has helped me with. I
cannot configure Outlook 2003 to send me e-mail messages to my Blackberry.
When I go into tools, e-mail accounts, change, advance options, and check to
leave a copy on the server, it leaves a copy on the server nly for a few
seconds then automatically goes back in and retrieves it and then I end up
with two of the same e-mail messages in my outlook inbox and none on my
Blackberry. the only solution I've found is to close my outlook and send all
my e-mail to it's normal inbox on my ISP. I want to be able to use my
Outlook with my Blackberry. Does anyone have the knowledge to help me to
properly configure this or is it impossible? Also, does anyone know if
Outlook 2007 has the same problem? I'm willing to purchase Outlook 2007 if I
can be assured this problem is resolved. If I can resolve it in my 2003
product, I'll purchase a 2007 product because I'll be reasonably certain it
will not occur there. I'd be very appreciative of any help anyone can offer
me. Thank you in advance for your time and effort in helping me find a
solution!

You ask if Outlook 2007 cures this problem, but it's not a systemic problem
for Outlook 2003. It's a problem specific to you so it's not likely
changing Outlook versions will fix it. Many people use Outlook 2003 with
Blackberries and have no problems.

After you change the option to leave messages on the server, sis you stop
and restart Outlook? Did you look to see if that option was still selected?
I'm assuming you're using a POP account or you wouldn't have the "leave on
server" option. Is that your account type? What happens if the Blackberry
is out of the picture? Does Outlook re-download messages then? Do you have
more than one account defined in Outlook? See if something here helps:

You asked if I had any other accounts configured to Outlook. I have a
couple accounts going to my same e-mail address under another name but I very
rarely recive en e-mail to them-----maybe a couple times a year. One thing I
do have though that I need to tell you. I have a g-mail account and I have
several "alerts" configured with G-mail that would normally come into my
g-mail account however, I have them forwarded to my main e-mail account going
to Outlook. Ihope this gives you a clearer idea of my problem. Perhaps I
should just keep Outlook closed when I'm not here at my computer. I have
always kept it open twenty-four hours a day but if I close it, the e-mail
will go directly to my account with my ISP and then to my Blackberry. I can
then come home and delete those and turn my Outlook back on and while I'm
here at my desk, I will receive e-mail to my Outlook but not to my
Blackberry. If you have any additional suggestions for me I hope you send
them. There is either a "glitch" in my Outlook 2003 or I'm making some kind
of terrible error but no one seems to be able to help me with it.

Did you look at any of the items described on the web page I cited?
