I work for a company that provides Help Desk support to a university. I work
on the university's campus. There is a user that has Outlook 2003 set up
with an IMAP account. I have verified that her server settings are correct.
The account is set up so that it does NOT remember her password.
Consequently, she has to enter it twice when launching and opening the
application.
The user is suddenly having problems with sending email. It first happened
this morning. I removed her account and added it again. The user was then
able to send without any problems. She called back a few hours later and
stated the same thing was happening. She was getting error 0x8004210b. I
disabled Symantec Antivirus from scanning email, closed Outlook, reopened it,
and the user can now send again. I re-enabled Symantec and the user was
still able to send. I'd appreciate any insight as to what may be causing
this. Thank you.
