Outlook 2003 problem

I've got a serious problem here. Outlook 2003 keeps freezing up completely:
often when I'm in the middle of writing an email and have switched to another
program to look something up. It's a real nuisance and I've no idea what's
causing it. Any ideas where I might lookf?

Are you using Word as the E-mail editor?

Tools>Options>Mail format tab. The first section is Message Format. There are
two check boxed there; the first to use Word to edit email and the second to
use Word to read Rich Text. Uncheck both, restart Outlook and see if it's any
better. If not, try a Detect and Repair on the Help menu. Check both options
and click OK.

When you compose an email what opens up when you start. Does it say Untitled Message
and is from from MS Word.
