Outlook 2003 problem

I am trying to set-up Outlook 2003 on a new computer (Dell Dimension
8400) and it will not work. It is a POP3 account. I have copied all
the same settings as on my old machine which works fine. On the new
machine it will send OK (apparently) but will not recieve. It hangs
and asks for the password (which I know is correct) over and over.

Other software on the 8400 is complete Office 2003, Norton Antivirus
Corporate edition (I had the Norton Systemworks on it but removed it
because I thought that was the problem), XP SP2, Netscape, Acrobat and
that's about it. My IT "experts" could not figure this out, so here's
your chance.

Thanks.

I prior experiences of this type, I contacted the ISP. They
reset the password (probably corrupted) to a generic. The
generic password worked. I then changed the password from
the generic to one that I use. Problem solved.
