Outlook 2003 problems with Vista

My outgoing email (through 2003 Outlook with Vista) is sending the same
message over and over; actually 42 times this morning to one friend who has
now blocked me from his email. My ISP suggested that I go to my virus checker
(Trend Micro) and disallow checking the outgoing mail. I don't think that is
making a difference. I can't go into the outgoing file and delete the emails
because I get a message that says Outlook is trying to send the message. Is
this a problem with Vista and compatibility? I have a BRAND NEW HP Pavilion
a6400f PC.
Thanks,

The problem is with Trend - disable scanning of outbound email (and
preferably of inbound mail too, unless you really can't trust yourself to
use common sense.)

Try the following:

Show the Send/Receive Progress dialog and Cancel Send/Receive. Tools,
Send/receive, send/receive settings, show progress.
if that doesn't let you delete it, go offline - file, work offline. Wait 2
min or so and delete it. If that doesn't work, see
