Outlook 2003 PST "default" file size?

I had a user this week on a new laptop state they were unable to delete
any messages from their PST folder, when they were able to on their
prior workstation. The PST file was about 6 gig.

I looked in the registry and there wasn't any size limits set. I added
the key and two values from:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/832925

MaxLargeFileSize
WarnLargeFileSize

which allowed the user to delete messages within the PST file.

If no setting exists, is there a "default" size set that would have
prevented the user from deleting files? They kept getting the error
dialog at the bottom of the link above.

Thanks,

Terry R.

20GB is the default limit for Unicode pst-files.
Which location did you look at and which one did you set?
The policy key or the user preference key?

Roady [MVP] pounded out on the keyboard:
20GB is the default limit for Unicode pst-files.
Which location did you look at and which one did you set?
The policy key or the user preference key?

The one in the referenced link.
