Hi. Running OL2003 with XP Pro. Three questions:
1. If I have a main pst file and an archive pst file, are they both active?
2. If I do a search using MS or Google on Outlook, will it include the
archived pst in addition to the main pst file?
3. I'm trying to minimize the size of the main pst file but still retain
access to old messages. Is there a better way?

Thanks for your help.

1. Active in what way? If the archive is open in outlook then you can access
the data in it.
2. Deepens on the settings in those applications. I'd assume so. Archive
might need to be open in Outlook first (attached to your main profile if
Outlook is closed).
3. regularly compact the PST in addition to archiving. strip attachments
from messages - you will find tools that can do this.
