Hi: I am trying to access the same contacts and mail folders from
different computers using a peer to peer network with xp pro and a file
server with Mac OS X. I placed the pst on the networked drive on the OS
X box and set up Outlook 2003 on the different PCs to use that file for
Personal Folders (using the Mail Icon in the control panel and browsing
to the pst file on the Mac). This worked fine for a few days, able to
access the Outlook emails and contacts from several different machines,
until I got the "Cannot start the Outlook Window. The set of folders
could not be opened..." Error message. I used Scanpst.exe to fix errors
and the system's working again. I looked at the system log on the OS X
and didn't see anything to indicate why the pst file might have gotten
corrupt. Any leads on how I might prevent this from happening again?
Thanks for your time and effort.
