Outlook 2003 Receiving Messages slows entire computer down

Hello,

I've looked through all the different questions on Outlook 2003 sp3 running
slow when receiving emails (Windows XP with latest SP).

Whenever an email arrives, the entire computer slows down to the point where
it's unusable.

None of the previously installed questions/answers have a resolution to this
problem.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
