Outlook 2003 Refresh

Hi

Sometimes I need to make changes to the default signature settings in
Outlook via vb code. In Outlook 2000 and XP when I make the
appropriate changes in the registry Outlook reflects these
immediately. In Outlook 2003 (I'm assuming because of where signature
info is now stored - under profile) it requires a restart to reflect
this information.

I know that there is much registry info that is only read at startup
but does anyone know of a way to get Outlook to "refresh" at any given
time (I'm not holding my breath on that though) or have any code
samples or pointers on how to force a restart of Outlook via code in my
Com add-in.
Thanks

Kristy

Sorry, I don't have a solution for you. I've come up against the same
problem and did not find anyway around it. I just pop-up a box telling the
user they'll need to restart Outlook for the signature settings to take
effect. Plaxo (www.plaxo.com), a commercial product that can create fancy
signatures, does the same thing. So you've got two NO votes so far. Sorry!
(As for restarting Outlook from code, I don't know about that. Not sure the
user would want that anyways, if he's got a bunch of Outlook windows open.)
