Outlook 2003 "requires internet explorer 4.01"

I have just installed Office 2003 Pro following
expiration of my 2003beta license. Since installation
(of all office components) my Outlook 2003 will not
launch. Error message states "You need internet explorer
4.01 or greater to use this feature". I have IE
xpsp2.030422-1633 and OE 6 5.00.0000.0000 which both work
fine. I did however re-install both of these from my
original XP disc to no avail.

Can anyone help?
