Hi there,
I have been met with some success regarding the configuration of this new
feature, however, I seem to be hit with some niggling problem...
I have used both the 'Beta' and release versions of Outlook11, and I find
that when changing the settings for the mail profile, I sometimes find that
the "Exchange over the internet" feature is greyed out (Beta) or just
invisible (Release Cand.) On a fresh install on a new box however, I did
manage to get this feature to work, though have been unable to replicate
this since. Can someone please let me know the
requirements/pre-req's/procedure, for getting this tick box to be visible?
Also, I am connecting remotely, through two firewalls, allowing port 443
through for the HTTPS traffic, obvisously the NetBIOS traffic is being
blocked, and so when configuring the client, when you specify the name of
the server and the mailbox, you have to let it time out, as the NetBIOS
traffic cannot locate the server. Is there a neater way of configuring the
name of the server and the mailbox, at the same time as you configure the
HTTPS access to the exchange server?
Many thanks for your time, and apologies for the x-post.
