Outlook 2003 screen has 'garbage look'..

Hello,

I am using Vista machine, however with no apparent reason, my Outlook screen
has a garbage look when I try composing a new message or respond to an email.

On the recipient side, the email however appears normal.

Are you talking about the paragraph marks, etc.? Or is there something else
I'm not noticing?
