I bought a new laptop today - an HP zd7260us, running XP Home Edition. I
also bought MS Office 2003. I installed the Office 2003 software (including
Outlook 2003) and my ISP's (Earthlink) latest dial-up software. I configured
everything properly for my Earthlink dial-up connection & for Outlook 2003
to be the default e-mail program. Outlook 2003 opens as the default e-mail
program, but when I click on the "send/receive" button I get an Outlook
error message, "Sending reported error (0x8004010F): The operation failed.
An object cannot be found." (The object that cannot be found is not
specified.) I get that error message regardless of whether or not there's
an e-mail to send. If I open Outlook Express instead of Outlook 2003 and
click on its "send/receive" button, Outlook Express works just fine with no
such error message, but I'd prefer to use Outlook 2003 as my default e-mail
program. The other components of Office 2003 (as well as MS IE 6.0) seem to
work fine.
Anyone have any idea what might be wrong...?
Thanks,
