T.D. in Outlook 2003

I am switching from Outlook Express to Outlook 2003 to handle all of my emails.

I am coming from Outlook Express and everything is running smoothly except
for one glaring problem.

I have business account folders set up for various accounts where I store
all incoming messages I receive from them. Likewise, I store all sent items
to particular accounts and, in Outlook Express, everything was stored in a
neat chronological fashion. This enabled me to quickly review my email
correspondance with any account by opening their particular folder.

The glaring problem I have now with Outlook 2003 is that all my previously
sent messages that were brought over from Outlook Express are now klumped
togther on the same date that they were imported. However, if you open them
up individually they are dated properly within the email.

Strangely enough, if you open the Sent Folder, all messages still left
inside are nicely categorized in chronological fashion. (e.g. Today, Date:
Monday, Date: Last Week) BUT - if you drag one across and drop it into a
account folder - the email gets klumped in the "Today" Folder under the time
stamp that they were imported.

I can't seem to find a setting to address this problem and I would really,
really appreciate some suggestions!

Thanks

You probably used Import from within Outlook? Use Export from within OE
instead.

You should Export from OE to OL to retain the modified dates
Any mail moved from Sent, to a Folder should retain its date, ie it will
still appear as yesterday even if moved
