Outlook 2003 setup whilst Word 2003 and 2007 on PC

I wish to run Word 2003 and Word 2007 on my PC. I realise that Outlook should
run on Word 2003 but I cannot configure this successfully. Each time I go to
options and tick Word 2003 as my editor I get a message that this version
doesn't exist on my PC which is wrong. I have rebooted the PC several times,
reinstalled my 2003 version and I still lose the Word 2003 editing fuctions
for my Outlook. Is there a default option to run Outlook always on Word 2003
Editor? Thank you for any help.

Which version of Word is set as default for opening documents on
double click? It needs to be Word 2003
