Outlook 2003 should be able to lock the toolbar and remember it.

Every time I open up Outlook my toolbar goes back to be jumbled all over.
This is really annoying. I have not found a fix or registry tweak posted
anywhere.

Is this for the native Outlook Toolbars or from third party add-ins? In the
case of the lat the location is not determined by Outlook but by the add-in.

This would be any visable option enabled in the toolbar from the main primary
outlook window. Mail Inbox, Calendar, Tasks: File Edit, New Message, Send,
3rd party plug-ins SnagIt Adobe. These are the same plug-ins viewable in
IExplorer. In IE you have the option to lock the toolbar once you have it
all nice and adjusted. In Outlook you make the adjustments, right click for
the context menu and there is no Lock Toolbar option. Outlook does not
remember the last window setting if you close and open the application. If
you min to task bar and restore the toolbar the setting is retained. I read
through some posts on other sites and others seem to have the same problem.
I don't remeber having this problem with Outlook XP. The only tweak I have
done to Outlook is MinToTray=1. If anyone has any ideas or solutions...
Thanks.

The problem is not outlook, its an Outlook addin that has poorly programmed
command bars. The acrobat addin or BCM are the most common ones.

Not quite the way I wanted to get this working. It just seems like a given
of being able to lock the toolbar... Anyway AdobePDF was the one causing the
jumble. I found this off an Adobe blog. Changing this registry entry will
leave the Adobe plug-in available and you can toggle the toolbar on and off
afterwards if needed; without disabling the entire plug-in through the
Outlook\Addins\PDFMOutlook entry.
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe\Acrobat\PDFMaker\7.0\Outlook\EmailToPDF
Value Name: OutlVisible
Value: 0

Original default Value: 0xffffffff
