Outlook 2003 signature setting doesn't work with roaming profiles

Hello,
We have the following envirmonment:

about 30 Windows 2003 Servers with Citrix Metaframe deployed in a
farm, with roaming profiles so that users will retain their settings
no matte rwhich server they log in to.

This works fine, except for one issue: Outlook signatures:

When a user logs on to a server, and starts Outlook 2003, he/she can
create a signature, and enable it as a default when sending/replying
to messages. If the log out and log back into the same server, these
settings are retained.

However, if they log onto another server, the settings are changed.
The signature is still listed, but default signature is set to <none>.

This means that they have to go to mail options each time they log on
to a terminal server to make sure they have a signature enabled.

Has anybody experienced similar errors?

Any pointers appreciated

best regards,

Trond,

You are not alone. We started implimentation of Outlook 2003 back
in Nov, and have been running into this as well. Another major issue
is that POP3 accounts do not keep passwords (when box is checked to
retain password) after you logoff and logon to another server. I have
been researching this for a while and I not found any definite
answers. Looks like it generates registry keys that are not only user
specific, but server specific as well. I will let you know if I find
anything else out.

Cheers!

Thats good to hear :)

I think we have opened a support case with Microsoft on this. I'll
report back here when I hear something more...
