Outlook 2003 - Slow Opening Attachments

Just setup a new workstation for a small office. everything was fine at
first, but there is a problem Outlook 2003 - Slow Opening Attachments
System info:
Vista Pro Business (not the only Vista machine on the network)
Office 2003
Antivirus AVG 8.5- I disabled the outlook add in but it did not have any
effect.
PDFs and image files open fine
Office files and hyper links will take 30 seconds or longer.

I have changed the security settings to LOW
I see this is a common problem from google-ing it. No one online seams to
have found a solution. I'm hoping one of you MS geniuses can help me out.
Small client but this is the AVP of the company and holding me responsible.
I would like to get this resolved and move on.

Uninstall A-V and then reinstall without the outlook add-in. Disabling
doesn't always prevent the interference.

After posting this I found a "FIXIT" on the Microsoft site that actually
worked. Thanks for the input just the same.
