Hello,
please help, we have 11000 users in a Client/Server managed environment,
Windows XP, backend is Windows 2003 Server. Some users when they first log on
and click on Outlook2003 with SP1 it takes approx 5 to 6 minutes to launch
subsequent logons are much faster and this is on a moderately sized mailbox
approx 1MB of data to be exchanged between client machine and various servers.
Network bandwith test have been carried out but no reason was found as to
why the initial slowness of Outlook 2003, there is a Merido server which has
the plugin on Outlook 2003, and the initial synch of the address book
containers of which there are a good number as well as templates loading from
the file server.
If the above makes sense and you Professionals can help please let me know.
