Outlook 2003 sometimes need to put in password

For about the last two weeks, sporatically, outlook will ask for password
when downloading mail. I have the password, user name and server info stored
and saved in the email account. but the pop up box to enter network password
appears, usually when i hit ok it then downloads the message. If I go to the
web to do my mail I have no problems, so it appears to be something in
outlook. I have this happening on more than one machine.

any insight?

It's quite probable that your ISPs pop server is a bit flakey now and
then.....

I have this same problem all the time using my sbcyahoo/globalnet account.
Resetting the DSL modem has fixed the problem before. Today it would not.
sbcglobalnet said since the Internet connection is up and my POP and SMTP
addresses are correct it must be a MS problem. They also said lots of their
customers have this problem. Any other suggestions???? Thanks.
