This problem is now occuring on 2 computers I have tried, both running XP.
I do a fresh install of Outlook 2003, upgraded to SP2. I connect to my POP3
mail and everything is fine. Then when I close the Outlook application and
try to download again, I get this error:
Faulting application outlook.exe, version 11.0.6565.0, stamp 42cacc7d,
faulting module msmapi32.dll, version 11.0.6566.0, stamp 42cdb657, debug? 0,
fault address 0x00014a12.
It is similar to a problem listed here that should be resolved by SP2, but
the problem still occurs. The problem also happens in safe mode. Detect and
Repair makes no difference.

If I uninstall Outlook, start over with a completely new .pst file,
everything is once again fine until the application is closed for the first
time. Then when re-opening, the problem comes back. Creating a new profile
creates the same behavior.. .fine until the program is shut down, then when
opened again and try to send/receive, get the error shown above.
I have seen instances of this posted in various newsgroups but not once
instance of a fix for it.
Any suggestions?
Thanks
