Outlook 2003 starts and shuts down...

Outlook 2003 starts and shuts down!...I created another profile and made the
files extend.dat, outcmd.dat, frmcache.dat to be "old" so new ones be
created, but it does not help.
I reinstalled Office - no result.
Can someone help me out??

Is it possible outlook.pst is corrupt? You may want to search for scanpst.exe
and run that on your file. It fixed a problem for one of my uses not long ago.

Thanks but I did it before and it did not help.
Now I am running with a new profile, not with outlook.pst.

Also I noticed that the file outcmd.dat is missing alltogether.

Just to be on the safe side, I scanned the pst files - all OK.
Also, I try to start in safe mode, with left ctrl key down - same result: It
starts and goes away....
I am totally at a loss of what to do.
If it was a normal program, I would uninstall it...I tried to repair OFFICE
but no result.
I am at a total loss...very angry too...(it does not help...)

Don't feel too bad I am having the same problem with Outlook 2002.

I am missing or cannot find the files you are refering too and have deleted
& reinstalled with no avail.
