Outlook 2003 Stationary Fonts and HTML w/ CSS

Our company recently upgraded to Outlook 2003 (finally) and since we have had
trouble with our HTML emails with embedded CSS displaying properly. It seems
as though the stationary fonts are overriding the CSS styles. Does anyone
know how or why this is happening?? I know that HTML emails and email apps
are finnicky but we didn't have problems with Outlook 2000. Any ideas on an
Internet or Security setting in Outlook or IE possibly? Any help is greatly
appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Why are you using both? The whole purpose of CSS is not to have to use
individual font settings anymore ;-)

Just like with normal HTML page <font> properties will still override your
div and class properties (like it should).

I am not using both. But there are fonts automatically picked in the Outlook
Stationary Picker. I don't think there is a way to disable that.

It should work then. You might want to validate your HTML template. For
instance that all tags are closed properly and the CSS lines end with
semicolons and such.

security setting... this happens on all html template emails sent. i think
outlook may not be reading them for some reason.

I create the html file and then save it. Then in Outlook 2003, I go to Tools
-> Options -> Mail Format -> Stationery Picker -> New -> Select my html file.
This method has worked fine for me for a long time. Is there a better way to
do it?
