Outlook 2003 stop sending/receiving mail...!

Can someone please help me? Outlook stopped working and I have no idea how to
"resuscitate" it... I have access to the Internet but Outlook seems to be
dead. I checked all the setting against my other computer which runs
identical set up and program and while the later works fine, no such luck
with the first. What could have changed that I can't see?
Your help is appreciated,

Hi Ed,
first try running detect and repair!
