Outlook 2003 stopped downloading from msn.com

I'm using Outlook 2003 under WinXP Home SP3.

Everything was running fine until a couple of days ago. Nothing was
changed, but then I started getting nothing in my inbox when I did a
send/receive, although I can see my mail when I go to msn.com (hotmail).

Any idea as to what I should look at for starters?

I un/re-installed Outlook and things got worse. Now I can't find "Send" or
"Send/Receive" anywhere when I compose a test email to myself.

I have a gut feeling that this has something to do with Output Connector,
but I don't know what to do about it.

Uninstalling and reinstalling Outlook are rarely a solution to Outlook
problems.

Recreate your mail accounts or start with a new mail profile.

As an idea, check your Digital IDs.

Fixed a problem for another user, unable to send through
'smtp.att.yahoo.com'.

Yes, my email account disappeared. Everything came back to normal when I
recreated it. Thank you.

Any idea what makes them disappear like that?

There's no way to tell without knowing what you did on your PC (like install
updates or other programs or any number of other things).

I didn't do nothin'. Honest! I might have let Windows do an automatic
update, but otherwise I've just been a simple user.

Well, that's certainly not "doing nothin'".

Maybe the next thing I should do is switch to a Mac. Bud then I'd miss all
you guys...

Hi BudV, the identical same thing just happened to me in the past couple
days. I read all the responses. I doesn't look like you got the answers you
needed. Did you get it fixed and if so please share your secrets.
thanks MAH

You missed it. I acknowledged his fix in the first of two posts I made on
10/1.

My email accounts had disappeared -- no one knows why -- and without them
Outlook can't get or send your emails. So if yours are gone, just re-create
them. If they're not gone, then you have a different problem. Good luck.

This is probably redundant, but just in case you missed it, I replied to you
in the wrong place. See three lines up. :)
