I have Outlook 2003 SP2. We use Outlook as a stand alone product (no
Exchange Server - outside hosted POP3 server). The pst file is 1.8 GB, but
no problems at all. Everything has been smooth until yesterday.
Outlook 2003 stops responding. The program continues to just synchronize
folders (since I have the Outlook synchronization Icon in my task bar).
Consequently, Outlook will not download any email and the program stops
responding.
I have...
a) Deleted some new emails from the outside mail server in case of corruption
b) Closed Outlook & rebooted the PC only to find Outlook to relaunch & spend
many minutes with the self-check program & then continue on with the same
synchronization problem.
Any advice? Should I uninstall Outlook 2003? Is the .pst corrupt? Should
I use a backup .pst copy?
Thanks so much!!!
