Outlook 2003 stuck in Offline mode

Hello all:

I have a user that has Outlook 2003 stuck in the Offline mode. There
is no option under "File" in the menu bar to work online, and the icon
in the task bar that says Outlook is in the offline mode does not have
an option to go back online. Can anyone help me with this?

I recall having this problem before as well, though the fix doesn't
leap to mind. Aside from the obvious (check the network connection,
etc.) what have you tried? If I remember correctly, we may have just
had to reinstall Outlook.

Hello:

Everything else is working fine. The user can manually send/receive,
and the emails are sent/received, so I know the problem is not in the
network. He can also access the network shared folders fine. The
problem is I can not find the option to get the system to work online.

The user also has Plaxo installed. Could that be causing the problem?

While I've never heard of this particula symptom, Plaxo has a lengthy
history of poor interaction with Outlook. Try disabling it while you test.
