Hello,
We have Windows 2003 SBS and the clients are using Outlook 2003 to connect
to Exchange Server 2003. We are using POP3 Connector to get our e-mails that
we host with some ISP. Everything works fine with this configuration.
One of my users has another e-mail that is hosted by other ISP that the
first one, and this e-mail is his main (default) e-mail profile.
Lets assume that the company's e-mail address for this person is:
(e-mail address removed) and the local e-mail is (e-mail address removed)
His main e-mail address for another company is: (e-mail address removed)
So at the beginning I tried the following solution which did not work:
1) I have added (e-mail address removed) the POP3 Connector configuration and
pointed it to the user's profile.
2) I changed the PRIMARY e-mail address from (e-mail address removed) to
(e-mail address removed) using the E-Mail Addresses tab in the Users Profile.
This configuration worked fine at the begining, then I rebooted the server,
then nothing worked!!! The POP3 Connector downloads the e-mails from the
mailboxes but they don't show in Outlook!
So I changed the PRIMARY e-mail address to (e-mail address removed) and everything
started to work fine. But the problem now is when the user gets and e-mail at
(e-mail address removed) and replies to that e-mail, then the recepient will
get a reply from (e-mail address removed) NOT (e-mail address removed)!!!
I could not figure out what to do, so I removed (e-mail address removed) from
the POP3 Connector, and when on the user's PC and added a new E-Mail profile
on his Outlook 2003 and put the new profile as the default profile instead of
the Exchange profile. This works fine until we reboot the server or the
client PC then the Exchange profile becomes the default profile again!!!
Is there any solution for any of these problems?
I really appreciate any help or suggestions.
