The Total Work field in Task List and TaskPad (when added) is inconsistent
with the data entry display. E.g. enter "2 days" in TaskList or TaskView
colums and that is converted to "6 days". But if "2 days" is entered in the
edit dialog for the task itself, it is shows as 2 days in the edit dialog,
but 16 hours in the TaskPad and task list. (Conversely, entering "6 days" in
the edit dialog shows as "2 day" in the task list).
I know that internally this is because task time calculated with 8 hours per
day (see http://support.microsoft.com/kb/234260/). But it seem that the task
edit dialog understands this, but the task pad and task list does not.
I don't want to change UnitsPerDay to 24-hour days, I just want the Task
List and TaskPad to correctly show the number of 8-hour days required for the
task, so their behaviour matches the edit dialog.
Anyone have any ideas if this is possible?
Many thanks,
Mark
