By way of background we have 5 managers each with their own separate task
lists for recording telephone calls by secretaries when they are not
available. 2 of the managers have Blackberry's and therefore their telephone
task list is within their own mailbox while the others are public folders.
There are only 3 fields used in the tasks folder: created, subject and
organiser.
The problem is with the organiser field. This picks up the name of the
person who created the task so that the manager knows which secretary took
the telephone message in case of their being a problem. This works very well
in all versions of Outlook prior to to Outlook 2003. It also work well in
Outlook 2003 when the task folders are public folders. However, in Outlook
2003 when the task folder is in the managers own mailbox then when a new task
is created the organiser is picked up as the owner of the mailbox and not the
creator of the task.
Any help would be much appreciated.
