Outlook 2003 The out of office Assistant could not be displayed. A required action was not successfu

I have this error when I want to activate an out of office assistant
for one of my users :

The out of office Assistant could not be displayed. A required action
was not successful due to an unspecified error.

When I press Ok, I get this :

System resources are critically low. Close some windows.

I am running windows XP and Office 2003 and microsoft exchange server
5.5
The outlook windows is the only that is opened.

I have tried :
new mail profile
new profile on the computer
her email on a remote server, here the out of office is working, so its
not a server issue
there are no rules in her outlook

Can anybody help me ?

There are 44 google groups hits on "out of office Assistant could not
be displayed" (including the quotes), and 245 google web hits.

Have you looked at any of those?

Yes, I have spend all morning on Google, trying out all the things
people have written
And i still dosnt work, there for I posted my own question, hoping
somebody had
some news about this error

Do you get the same thing if you close Outlook and open Excel instead
and try the "Assistant" there?

Well, I did'nt know that out of office and the assistent was connected
?

but anyways, I dont get an error message, but the assisten dos'nt show.

I have tried to reinstall and repair the office installation.

Apologies! I read it as the Office Assistant.

I have had this issue for months finally figured it out. You need t
make a change in your rules. Even if you have to create a fake rule an
then delete it. Once I created a rule I was able to get my Out o
office to open and function properly
