Hi all
I have a client running outlook 2003 which is connected to an exchange server.
She has been running fine for over a year with no recent changes to outlook.
Just last week though she has started to find that when ever she opens
outlook all the toolbars at the top will not be there. This includes the
"file, edit, view..." drop down menu at the top and the toolbar shortcuts
below it like the "new" button for emails etc.
The program is opening to full screen size - if she selects restore (taking
it out of full screen size) the toolbar all reappear and then she can
maximise it and all appears ok except when she opens a new email - in the new
email the "send" button doesn't work. The send button is there and is not
greyed out and lets you click on it but nothing happens. If she sends the
email to the drafts folder then reopens it , then she is able to select send
and it goes.

Any help on this would be great

thanks in advance

No the outcmd.dat wasn't deleted...
I think the problem might be because she is now running a dual head video
card.
I realised after posting this that about a month ago I changed her to using
a new dual head matrox video card and she now uses 2 lcd screens. Although
she was running fine for a few weeks after that untill last week.
But about 6mths ago someone else in the same office got a dual head video
card with 2 monitors and a few weeks later he complained of the exact same
problem. To solve that problem at the time I installed office 2003 sp2 and it
fixed it - that has not worked this time though and it has all the latest
updates...

Any more help would be great still - thanks

Matt

Apperently it seems to work ok if you start outlook in safe mode. However
without really knowing what the problem is..........
