Outlook 2003 unable to open VCards

I have one client installation of Outlook 2003 that is
erroring when you attempt to open any VCard from an e-mail
attachment. I have sent the attachment to a different
machine and opened it successfully with another Outlook
2003 installation, but alas, no same result on the
original machine. Short of fully uninstallnig and
reinstalling Outlook and the time consumed therein, is
there any other known solution?

Is the attachment an actual .vcf file? What happens when you try to open it?

It is an actual .vcf file and I get an error stating that
Microsoft Outlook has encountered an error and needs to be
restarted, but that does not resolve the issue, as it
continues to reoccur. I am going to attempt a detect &
repair to see if that solves the problem. If that does
not work and I do not hear otherwise, I'm going to have to
uninstall and reinstall the application as a last resort.

Uninstall/Reinstall was the ticket. Thank you for
