Outlook 2003 update caused strange problem

Now after updates, when I exit Outlook I get this strange message box from
Visual Basic, "The macros in this project are disabled. Please refer to the
online help or documentation of the host application to determine how to
enable macros". I have no macros set up in Outlook!????

A reply to my original question, which I cannot now find, questioned if I
used Word as the email editor. Since there is no other choice, I simply
unchecked the Word box and my problem went away. Since the box was checked by
default before updates, I'm not sure what has happened, nor do I know what
Outlook is using for an editor now.

outlook is using the outlook editor now... and the macros are apparently in
word, which is why the dialog went away when you disabled word as the
editor.

It turns out the culprit is a Word template(wfwrd2k2.dot). Outlook uses Word
as an editor. The template is in Word! I don't know why I didn't have the
problem before the update. The fix came from MS.

Sorry for posting to this message but I wanted to send you a reply to a
post you sent last year. My ISP must have deleted it because the only way I
could find it was by using Google. Sorry I didn't reply earlier.
But this post is a strange problem also to outlook after installing SP3.
Here was my post and yours:

I hope everyone is doing well this Friday morning. We have a business

accounting software called Everest that allows us to email Everest documents
(orders, invoices, etc) via pdf format through outlook. Everest generates
the PDF and opens outlook with the attachment. After applying Outlook 2003
SP3 we can't do it anymore. Does anyone know when and if a patch is
available for this KB?

That's the error we are having and Everest appears to be having a time

trying to get it fixed, so maybe MS can fix it on their end.

your response: what switch does their software use?

The error message is: The command Line argument is not valid. Verify the
switch you are using.

The 3rd party software is trying to create a new email, with a pdf
attachment (sales document). Not sure exactly what the switch is but that's
what it's trying to do.
