Outlook 2003 upgrade from 2002 dial-up issues

Richard Cross

I recently upgraded from Outlook 2002 to Outlook 2003. I
used to be able to dial up to my office Exchange 5.5
server and get my email. Now when I dial up, I connect
successfully, but am unable to retrieve my email. I get
the following error:

Task 'Microsoft Exchange Server - Sending and Receiving'
reported error (0x8004011D) : 'The server is not
available. Contact your administrator if this condition
persists.'

Like I said, this used to work, but now after the upgrade
it does not. I called Microsoft and because it is
connecting to Exchange Server they wanted $245.00 just to
talk with a support person. I can't spring for that and
if I can't get this fixed then I just wasted my money as
I need remote dial up access. Any help would be greatly
appreciated!
Thank you,
Rich

Have you talked to your Office Mail Admin?

Yes, I did after I couldn't find an answer for it
myself. They have not made any changes to the server
setup in months. This did work right before I upgraded
and not right after I upgraded. I've checked all my
settings and they seem correct. Any other ideas?
Thanks,
Rich
