Outlook 2003 User Accounts

Have set up seperate accounts and profiles for myself and wife and configured
to ask for which profile to use. After boot up of the computer and click on
outlook it asks to choose the profile and enter password. However, if I close
outlook and reopen, it goes directly to the profile which had just been
opened (does not give a choice of profile or ask for password). If I restart
the computer, outlook then works properly and ask to select a profile when
it opens.
Any suggestions? Thanks

It probably means OL is not closing properly, check in Task Manager>Running
Processess for outlook.exe, if found terminate it

Unfortunately I had tried that. At the moment, the only way I get it to
request the two different profiles is to do a restart. If you can think of
anything else please advise.

You sure about that? You did click on process name header/title bar to sort
the processess?

Yup, sure about that.

Have you tried setting up separate Windows logins for each of you? That
should allow you to have completely separate mail profiles without Outlook
having to ask.

I am experiencing the same issue. The timing seemed to coincide with the May
patch release.
I am running Windows XP, Outlook 2003, and connecting to an Exchange 2003
server. I have multiple profiles set up on the machine. Once the machine is
booted, or I log off and then back on to the machine, if I open Outlook I can
choose a profile. Once I exit, and re-open Outlook, the last profile opens
automatically. I have checked Task Manager and Outlook is no longer running
after I shut down.
