Outlook 2003 using 99-100% of processor

how do I stop outlook from using up my processor time? when I open outlook
life is wonderful. after about 10 msgs all of a sudden outlook hogs up about
99% of my CPU time and it takes waaaaaay too long to open emails.

Larry,
One thing to check is to see if there are any out of the ordinary Add-in's
installed in Outlook (tools\options\other\advanced options\Add-in Manager).
It may be hard to determine what's normal and what isn't but I've seen a lot
of issues caused by Yahoo/Google type add-ins that our users may have
installed on their own. It's probably a long shot but at least something to
look for
