outlook 2003 vcard notes drop when exporting

I recently upgraded to Outlook 2003 from Outlook 2002. I was displeased and
frustraded to find that the VCARD export function now drops or deletes and
data that is in the notesbox when it is exported. When the VCARD file is
reopened there is nothing in the notes box. I saw this question posted in Dec
2006 with no solution. Does the 2003 Office SP2 download possibly sove this?
