Outlook 2003 - why do some emails print & some don't - CanonS9000

Help - new to PCs!

I have a Canon S900 set as my default printer. When I try to print some
emails, it shows up but can't be selected and I'm only allowed to save the
message, not print it. With other messages, I can print no problem. I can't
figure out the distinction between the messages.
