Outlook 2003 will not connect to the Hotmail server

Hello forum,

I've recently installed Office 2003 onto our new pc running XP Media Center.
We have two user accounts, one for myself and one for my wife. Before
installing Office, we were both using Outlook Express to connect to our free
Hotmail accounts. We didn't have any problems at all.

Now I'm setting us both up to use Outlook 2003 and I'm having problems.
When I'm logged into my XP user account, I can access my Hotmail account
through Outlook. However, my wife is a different story. When logged into
her XP user account, if she tries to connect to her Hotmail account through
Outlook 03 she is continuously prompted to re-enter her password. It won't
connect at all. In fact, when performing a send/receive, she gets this
message:

Task 'Hotmail: Folder:Inbox Synchronizing headers.' reported error
(0x800CCC32) : 'Access to the account was denied. Verify that your username
and password are correct. The server responded 'Bad Password'. '

which I realize is a common message if the password is actually wrong,
except that we've gone online and changed her password, so we know the one we
are using is correct. I can't find any reason why this would be happening.

I've tried to create new identities, and each one has the same issue. I
cannot connect to Hotmail through any other identity but my own. In fact, I
can even connect to her Hotmail account through Outlook if I'm using my own
identity!

I've read through the kb suggestions, and through this forum, and none of
the solutions presented have worked.

Hopefully someone can help! Thanks to anyone who has a suggestion.

AJ
