Sorry to post this here, but I'm not sure of where to post issues with Microsoft Office for Windows issues. I also own & use Office 2008: mac, so I am an Office: mac user as well. And since we've seen other Windows issues here I hope it doesn't hurt to have one more.
In addition to my Mac, I have a PC running Vista Home Premium SP1 & Office 2007, except for Outlook which is 2003 (I have Office 2007 Home & Student plus Visio Standard & Accounting Express).
I recently setup a GMail account in Outlook in which I typed in the wrong information. I then deleted the account. However, it didn't remove the IMAP folders associated with the GMail account. Now when I go to close the GMail folders, I get the following error message:
The messaging interface has returned an unknown error. If the problem persists, restart Outlook.
I've talked with my PC manufacturer, & they aren't sure what's wrong. I can create a new GMail account, but the old folders still remain there & won't close.
Does anyone know what I need to do to get these folders to close? I'd hate to have to reinstall Outlook if I don't have to.
Again, sorry I posted this here. Just not sure where I could post this & needed help.
Thanks!
