I have Outlook 2003 with SP1 installed. I set up my Hotmail account properly,
since it works most of the time with no problems. I run my computer on a
broadband service. Occasionally, mostly in the mornings, I get the message
about Outlook synchronizing with Hotmail. My Outlook locks up for quite a
while. Sometimes I get a balloon window pop up near the tray icon suggesting
I can click on the Outlook icon to halt the synchronizing. I can't find this
option. Frequently, Outlook stops responding. I understand the purpose of
synchronizing with Hotmail. I don't understand why it takes so long to
synchronize or its affect on Outlook. Is there anyway I can shorten the
synchronization time even if it delays reading my Hotmail e-mail until later?
