Outlook 2003 won't allow separate email signatures for my profiles

Only one signature shows up in each of my two email profiles. How do I get
the other one in?

Which mail editor are you using, Word or the built-in one?

Word...I've since been told that Word only allows one signature and that I
should Log off and Log in under a different user or do an autotext to insert
my other signature. Any other ideas?

Word allows one signature per account and should automatically change when
you switch accounts if you configure a default signature for each account.

Hi, I am having the same issue and have seen multiple posts in this
discussion group talking about he same issue with no resolution. I have 3
email accounts setup in outlook for each user. Each account has a signature
associated with it. When I open a new email my default account signature
comes up, I then change to another account, but the signature associated is
not auto placed in the email. This is a huge PITA as we have to cut and
paste from a word document! Any help would be greatly appreciated?

I'm having the same issue. I've set up two email accounts and have
specified two different signatures for each account. This process worked
perfectly until recently when our IT Manager changed email accounts on us.
When I reply from my secondary email account, the default signature appears
and it says it's from the default email account. Even if I select that
secondary email account on the "From" drop down menu, the signature does not
change. Has anyone else found a fix for this? I've tried everything.

You don't change accounts by using the From field. You change them by using
the Accounts button.

Thanks Brian. I did not mean to say I was using the From Field, I have tried
using the Account button to change the from account...that does not change
the signature. I used to be able to just reply from my alternate email
address and the special signature would show up automatically. Right now I'm
having to change the from account and then I have to retype the signature
from scratch or cut and paste, very wasteful in time. I've tried everything
I know to try. I went into tools, mail set up and send/receive, and made
sure that both email accounts are included in the group. I've tried deleting
both signatures and have started over. I've changed the main email account
from default and back again to see if that helped. The only thing I can't do
is change the email editor to "Use Microsoft Word 2003 to edit email messages
or to read Rich Text email messages" - that function is grayed out for me.
I've also tried downloading updates for Office 2003 and there were none
available. I've run out of options. It's a big problem for me because I
send so many emails (customer service) that I don't have time to keep editing
my signatures and the account it comes from....that should be done
automatically. But I also send a lot of emails from my main work account.
It worked perfectly before we changed our email provider. Any help is
greatly appreciated. Thank you.

That's how it should be changed when you're using the Outlook editor to
compose messages. Every account must have a default signature in order for
it to work. If you're using Word as your editor, you can also right-click
in the signature area (at the bottom) of the new mesage and choose the
signature.
