Outlook 2003: Word Error when closing Outlook

Outlook/Word 2003

We have a recurring yet sporadic issue for users who want to use Word
as their email editor in Outlook. One error just says "Microsoft
Visual Basic: Compile error in hidden module: modAuto." This is
followed by the "Sorry, Word has encountered an error and has to
close."

Has anyone else encounted this? I would certainly love any input or
insight regarding how to resolve the issue. I have one user who wants
to use Word because of the grammar checking for his emails.
