I run Office 2000 and XP professional. Ihave recently had problems with
Outlook. I have followed all the suggestions, downloaded all the updates and
still it keeps crashing.
I need it to work so have bought Outlook 2003.

Should I:just install it or deinstall Office 2000, reinstall it without
Outlook and then load Office 2003

Thank you

Judith

Dear,
You mau simply install OL2003 without removing ol2000, while upgrading OL03
will keep all the settings and files of OL2000

"It crashes" covers a lot of territory - what are the circumstances and what
did you try to fix it?

Did you make a new profile?
Did you delete outcmd.cmd?

That's not to say upgrading isn't worth it (it is IMHO) - just that it's not
required.

Thank you for your reply. This all arose after returning from a holiday and
installing a MS XP Windows upgrade upon prompting. Up to then there has been
no problem in the 9months that I have run this PC.. After a few minutes of
openning - when it does behave itself - I get the message that Microsoft
outlook has encountered a problem and has to close down. It offers me the
chance to tell MS about it.

I did this and was pointed to upgrades for Outlook which I duly installed,
but it made no difference so bought Outlook 2003.

Did you make a new profile? No this is something that I am in the dark
about, although have just looked at the Help and have modified the profile,
but in the while since I did this it has again gone down.
Did you delete outcmd.cmd? No I do not know,, what it is and what effect this might have. I am sure I can find it. Should I delete it?

I will not install MSO 2003 until I hear your response,

Thanks
