Outlook 2003

Within the Outlook Folder list, there is in (parenthesis) the number of new
items which have not been read or deleted.

I have a (1) next to my Calendar within the Folder list, and I don't know
how to find this event or make it go away, as if it was read.

You can change your Current View to By Catagory. You shoudlbe able to see it
then.

If you just want it to go away, right click on the calendar folder and
choose "Mark All As Read"
