Outlook 2003

I have set up my POP3 account with my ISP so that I can easily download
messages to my Outlook. Is there a way to set up the emails that I send from
Outlook going through my ISP so that the email message is saved with my ISP?
Is there something within the SMTP settings that would help me with this?

Nope. SMTP protocols have no such ability. They deal with mail transport
only and cannot interface with any of the storage functions the ISP may
provide. If you ISP offers an on-line address book, investigate if there is
some way to import data into that address book. If so, you may be able to
transfer the data from Outlook to that address book. Yahoo! mail, for
example, allows the importing of a CSV file. Since Outlook can export
contacts as a CSV, it's possible to transfer the data.

No, your messages will be saved locally if you have that option checked (it
is checked by default IIRC). To have any sent messages saved by your ISP,
you would need to use their web mail interface to send the email and then
specifically enable it.

Remember, sent mail is added to the total mail storage available from your
ISP so if you send a lot of mail, it makes sense to only have it saved
locally.

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. All
unsolicited mail sent to my personal account will be deleted without
reading.

After furious head scratching, Christine asked:

Thanks Brian Tillman!

I do have the capability to import/export with my ISP, however the problem
I'm facing is tracking what emails are being sent from my teenage son's
Outlook as I am having problems with him. I may need to look into software
program that will monitor his activity. Thanks again! Christine

Thanks for your help Milly. I will look for another source to view the
outgoing emails. Christine
